The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) Day brings together students and academic and research staff. The aim of the day is to introduce interesting research directions that are carried out in the institute and students can network and find topics for their Bachelor's and Master's theses.
This year's ICS Day was held on September 29, 2017 at 14.15 in Paabel (Ülikooli 17).
The research groups' presentation slides
The introduction to the day is given by the Head of the Institute prof. Jaak Vilo, who gives an overview of the research work that is conducted, all research groups are introduced (around 15-20 mins). After that students can choose which group they wish to get to know more.
Every research group will present their work and available theses topics three times. This way every student can meet with three different research groups. After presentations, the doors to every research group's work area are open and students can visit those whose presentations they missed as well.
