UT Institute of Computer Science puts maximum effort into creating a balance between theoretical and practical studies. Lectures are regularly visited by guest lecturers from the industry and all course-related materials are publicly accessible on courses.cs.ut.ee. All lectures can be rewatched via UTTV and Panopto.
Our institute regularly organizes different events and contests for our students.
Data Science Seminars
We are organising data science seminars to a wider audience where researchers, lecturers, students, alumni and industry representatives are sharing their knowledge on the subject. The seminars are conducted in English.
Student project contest
The aim of the Student Project Contest is for students to compete by submitting an IT project. It may be associated with any course, or be a completely new and personal initiative. For example, a project from a course, educational resource, public software, a start-up idea etc.
The Institute of Computer Science Day brings together students and academic and research staff. The aim of the day is to introduce interesting research directions that are carried out in the institute and students can network and find topics for their Bachelor's and Master's theses.
Delta Career Day
Every year we organize a Career Day for our students. The purpose of the event is to bring together IT students and practical training and career opportunities offered by companies in the field.
