IT Academy program (ITA), a cooperation program and a brand, which helps to increase the quality of ICT education and to market the ICT programmes in Estonian higher education has established a scholarship fund to support successful students. Students are required to inform the public of the fact that they receive scholarship from the IT Academy program as part of the programme's publicity requirement. The students must cite the source of their scholarship (IT Academy program) in any articles and talks related to their studies.

All students and foreign students studying in the state-funded and non-state funded study places of the Bachelor of Informatics and IT and Master’s Program of Software Engineering at the University of Tartu can apply for the scholarship. The Spring admission is open from Janunary 1 to January 20, 2013. The results will be published by February 15 via e-mail. See the scholarship statute for Bachelor and Master's students.

NB! In order to be eligible for renewal of their scholarship Bachelor and Master's students should fulfill the following criteria:
(i) have completed at least 30 ECTS per semester, averaged over all previous semesters in the programme;
(ii) have not obtained a final grade of “F” or “missed exam” in any course in the programme; and
(iii) have obtained a cumulative weighted average GPA above 3.5 (counting all results).
In case a student does not fulfil the criteria, the committee may at its discretion decide to renew the scholarship, taking into account factors such as the student's assiduity and motivation, involvement in student life or community service. In any case, scholarships will not be renewed beyond the nominal study time for the programme.
